Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Electronic Health Records (EHR): EHRs are the aggregate of EMR information and data that relates to the total health of the patient. EHRs are designed to reach beyond a single organization and allow all of a patient’s care givers to see what care a patient has received. An EHR goes beyond standard clinical data collected in a single provider’s office. EHRs share information with other health care providers, such as laboratories and specialists, so they contain information from all the clinicians involved in the patient’s care.
